Development, as part of advanced research and development activities, of an innovative ice slurry generation and utilization system based on the liquid supercooling method, ensuring increased cooling efficiency and cold energy storage.
We are pleased to announce that M.A.S. Sp. z o.o., in consortium with Bialystok University of Technology, has been awarded funding from the European Funds under the European Funds for a Modern Economy Programme, Priority FENG.01 – Support for Entrepreneurs, Measure FENG.01.01 – SMART Path, for the implementation of the project entitled: “Development, as part of advanced research and development activities, of an innovative ice slurry generation and utilization system based on the liquid supercooling method, ensuring increased cooling efficiency and cold energy storage.”

The aim of the project is to carry out research and development activities by M.A.S. Sp. z o.o. (the Consortium Leader) and Bialystok University of Technology (the Consortium Partner) to develop a proprietary and innovative technology for the generation and utilization of ice slurry based on the water supercooling method.

The project involves the development of an innovative cooling system providing higher cooling efficiency and the ability to store cold energy, enabling the creation of a new generation of refrigeration systems. M.A.S. is targeting its product at the food industry, the construction sector, and cold energy storage applications, which until now have not had access to cooling systems offering such a high level of efficiency, environmental performance, and flexibility.

As a result of the project implementation, the new ice slurry generation and storage system will eliminate the need to use toxic glycol solutions. The product will significantly change current installation design standards by reducing operating costs and eliminating chemical contamination.

  • Project implementation period: 1 October 2026 – 31 March 2029
  • Total project value: PLN 14,397,009.35
  • Eligible expenditure: PLN 13,772,493.59
  • Amount of funding: PLN 11,053,436.59
